We have a few resources we'd like to share that may be helpful for you during pregnancy and in preparation of labor and delivery. There are tons of websites out there, and you can always just Google the question you have to get answers (just make sure you're getting answers from reputable resources!) The resources below were just some we found helpful, and hope they will be able to assist you as well. If there are any websites or resources you found helpful, feel free to let us know and we'll check it out!
As always, do your own research and ask your provider if any of the techniques or practices you find would be right (or wrong) for you. As with pregnancy, parenting or anything...take the information given, process it in accordance to your own needs and beliefs, keep what works, and forget the rest.
>Spinning Babies Did you know that you can actually help your baby move into an optimal birth position in your uterus during pregnancy, and even during labor if needed? This website is packed with really helpful information that doulas, midwives, and some OB's use to help women achieve a more relaxed and easier birthing experience.
>Natural-Pregnancy-Midwife.com Even if you plan on having a hospital birth with or without possible interventions or a c-section, you'll find a lot of great information on this website for everything from getting pregnant all to way to labor, delivery, and beyond.
>Acupressure This particular site was extremely helpful to learn about different acupressure points of the body and literally (really!!) help comfort and relax a woman who is in (or wants to naturally induce) labor. There is a through explanation of the techniques and videos for you and your partner to learn from. Learning about acupressure is well worth your time and effort going in to labor and delivery, for assisting with birth after pains, and to help establish breastfeeding. Here is another video that also shows Accupressure points to induce labor and help baby with proper positioning.
