Meet Andrea (Drea) Renkas
In 2004, Drea joined the Army National Guard as a Junior in High School. She first realized her leadership potential while in Basic Training. She found she loved to motivate people and help people gain confidence and see results through leadership, and especially fitness.
In 2008, she married her high school sweetheart, and in 2009 she was deployed to Iraq for a year. During her time overseas, she discovered she loved instructing fitness classes after she had the opportunity to teach a few during her limited downtime. After returning from Iraq in 2010, she started to teach boot camps, strength and cycling classes at the YMCA. In 2012, she also started teaching classes at AAC Xcel Sports in Appleton, WI. In October 2013, Andrea had her first child (Kaden) and decided to stay home to be with him and continue to teach. Shortly after giving birth, Andrea realized the need for a fitness class specifically for moms to participate with their kids. After doing some research, she came up with the idea of stroller fitness classes and got a hold of Brit. And the rest is history. In January 2016, Andrea welcomed her second son, Tristan. Having two has really taught her that she needs to meet and rely on fellow moms even more!
Outside of teaching, she loves being outside, making memories with her family, watching her sons grow and learn, travel, and bribing her sister Britney with homemade chocolate chip cookies ;)
