Who says stroller workouts are only for moms?? Dads, partners, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends - you can get your outdoor boot camp on too! The kids join in the fun and love watching all their favorite people break a sweat and show how FUN working out is!
Fit Family Boot Camp
Bring on the dads! (and everyone else!) Every fitness level is welcome, and we especially enjoy challenging a wider range of family and friends in these classes! Each class meets at a local park and is about 45-60 minutes long. We usually hold Fit Family Boot Camps in the later afternoon hours, or sometimes on a Saturday morning! Class will include a wide variety of exercises that will focus on strength, balance, cardiovascular and endurance by using various and creative techniques and activities! You never know what we'll have for you at boot camp! No matter what.. you'll be sure to get a full body workout and you, dad (or whoever your partner is), and the kids will have a ton of fun!
No partner to bring? No problem! If the times for Fit Family Boot Camps work best for you to come on your own and you need to come single (with or without the kids), you are more than welcome! You will still get a great workout and we'll be happy to welcome you! (And no, if you come with no "partner", we promise it won't be awkward.) :)
Rest assured that the workouts are safe and designed by certified Pre and Post Natal Fitness Instructors with the ultimate goal to keep you active and engaged with other moms, dads, and your kid(s). Please let us know if you have (or had) any physical issue that would, or could, hinder your body. We want to make the exercises safe and effective, and will work with YOU and what your body can handle.
I love working out with my daughter in tow! While she can be crabby and uncooperative at times, no one judges. I am challenged by each and every workout. I can modify as I need to and Drea and Brit are wonderful helping tweak technique so that I don't injure myself. Best of all, I am modeling the healthy behaviors that I want my daughter to embody as she grows up. -Nora S.
- Whatever your fitness level, we will welcome you! Exercises will be modified for your individual needs (beginner or advanced).
- Moms need to be at least 6 weeks (or 8 weeks c-section) postpartum as long as they have a verbal ok from their doctor.
- Pregnant moms are welcome to come. Please let us know you are pregnant and how active you were prior to.
- Babywearing welcome.
